THE HISTORY
Twenty years ago Sheena & Jeff Palmer, a husband & wife team both originally from Somerset villages, saw Crewkerne as the ideal spot to put down their family roots and pursue the dream of running a cosy, in town restaurant with good old fashioned home cooked food.
They found Hurle House, a former Georgian Coaching Inn (The Eagle) ,which of course had all of the character, charm and space to turn that dream into reality.
The 35 cover restaurant/carvery has grown from what in 1985 was a small coffee-shop serving some 18 customers.
The ambience of the restaurant has developed to reflect Sheena's home, her culinary skills and Jeff's front of house style.
Through each season Hurle House Restaurant offers a menu and style to suit the occasion.
